Check out FMM’s Facebook site for the museum’s campaign supporting August’s National Women’s Month celebrations. Among the featured ladies are South Africa’s first automobilist, Mary Anderson, inventor of windscreen wiper, SA’s accomplished F1 driver Desiré Wilson, Prieska-born Oona Scheepers who has moved through the ranks to be a lead interior designer for Porsche, then Audi and now Volkswagen, and Di Dugmore, who is well known around the country for her multi-faceted involvement in the old car movement.
