The Thunder Tour is the ultimate road show held once a year. It is a seven-day road trip experience comprising Muscle Cars, Street Rods, Rat Rods and (mainly V8) Super Cars. The only six-cylinder cars allowed are the flat-6 Porsches and Nissan GTRs, as they are classified under Super Cars. Each year the tour starts at Cars In The Park in Pretoria on the first Sunday of August and heads towards a new destination. This year was the tour’s 12th consecutive year and Cape Town was the final destination and the participants made a surprise visit to FMM near the end of the tour.
