Tyre construction is a technical topic familiar to most classic car enthusiasts, even if it is simply down to the correct use of cross- and radial-ply rubberware. Rummaging through some old material recently donated to me I came across this advertising flyer put out by Firestone on the advantages of its new F100 radials. Sadly it is not dated but the wording makes for some fascinating reading. Progress through technology… MM
