ROAD TO RACE

Road To Race is a new South African tuning house offering a line-up of Ford Rangers and a Mustang that have received a significant level of re-engineering to deliver a unique range of bespoke performance Fords.

In collaboration with SA car and boat racing legend Peter Lindenberg, the RTR range was designed, developed and is built by Justin Price at his Hi-Tech Automotive in Port Elizabeth. The RTR range is topped by a pair of 500 kW supercharged V8s – the RTR Mustang and a RTR Ranger 660. There is also an RTR Ranger 415 with a 325 kW V8, and a RTR Ranger 250 powered by a 3,2-litre Ford turbodiesel tweaked to deliver 185 kW. All RTR models include various levels of chassis, suspension, drivetrain and brake enhancements, along with aerodynamic and interior trim upgrades.

The RTR Ranger range is covered by an extensive 4-year/120 000 km warranty, while the RTR Mustang has a 3-year/60 000 km warranty. The RTR vehicles are sold and maintained by a network of dealerships around the country, with several centres already covered, while outlets remain available in other areas.
